- While an aroma infused with floral scents may trigger a happy memory for some, for others it may trigger an allergic reaction. So while our fragrance range is ‘phthalate FREE’ we also provide you the option of ‘100% pure essential oils’ scents.
- These ‘Aromatherapy’ scents are 100% plant based and supplied from local manufacturers in the Northern Rivers region to ensure they are ethically sourced.
- Each reed diffuser is also hand poured in a plant based infusion to allow the scent to draw through the rattan reed sticks and disperse into the air.

09/06/2021What are the benefits of Pure Soy Wax Candles?Have you ever wondered about the benefits of Pure Soy Wax Candles?
To begin with they are made from soybeans which are a natural, renewable source grown in many local regions by organic farmers.
They also provide a cleaner burn than paraffin waxes as paraffin and paraben waxes are extracts of petroleum which are derived from petrochemicals. This means that when paraffin waxes are lit as in the process of lighting a candle, toxic fumes are released in to your environment that you and your loved ones are inhaling.
Another point to take note of is whether your candles are labelled with ‘soy wax’ rather than ‘pure soy’ wax. In these instances the manufacturer is trying to conceal the use of enhancers and additives* in the wax.
Palm oil is one such additive. If you are unfamiliar with palm oil then there’s good reason to avoid this as up to 300 football fields of natural forests in Africa are cleared every hour to make room for palm plantations. As a result the orangutan population has decreased in the last 10 years due to the habitat loss from forest clearing for palm plantations.

09/06/2021How to reuse your empty jar with a Candle RefillHow to reuse your empty jar with a Candle Refill –
Not only do our candle refills allow you to try out different scents in the same beloved candle jar, but they also give you a way to act more sustainably and save you money in the process.

Written instructions –
With approx. 5mm of wax remaining, soak your Byron Bay Candles printed, glass jar in hot soapy water (jar pictured below). Agitate any remaining wax and the metal wick tab until it dislodges; then dispose
Wash jar until clean and wipe dry (pure soy wax is soluble in warm water)
Remove new wax refill from all packaging and peel tape cover from bottom wick tab.
Insert refill in to glass jar
Light wick and burn candle until melt pool reaches edge of jar. This ensures an even burn and will prevent a cavity from forming.
Enjoy hours of ambient pleasure.
