OUR ROLE
Manufacturing & Finishing
We manufacture and pour your candles in Byron Bay, then apply your supplied labels, fit lids, pack into your supplied boxes and prepare your finished collection for dispatch.
Indicative Investment
Private label candle projects start from 150+ units, with an indicative investment from $2,500.
Every project is individually quoted, with final pricing determined by your selected scent, vessel specifications, production quantity and finishing requirements.
Once your scent and candle specifications are confirmed, we’ll provide your final production quote.
Step 1 — Finding the Right Scent for Your Brand
Scent selection is the first stage in creating your custom candle range. Choose from our established library of proven candle aromas and pure essential oil blends, or talk to us about sourcing a different scent for your project.
Signature Scent Collection
Select from established Byron Bay Candles aromas and additional scent profiles proven through candle production. Your chosen aroma can be presented under your own product name and branding.
Pure Essential Oil Collection
Create a distinctive botanical collection using our established pure essential oil blends, developed and refined through years of candle production.
Looking for Something Different?
If your preferred scent isn’t in our library, we can investigate suitable options. Additional sourcing, evaluation and candle testing will extend the development timeframe.
Final candle pricing is confirmed once your scent is selected, as oil costs and the amount required for optimum candle performance vary between aromas.
Step 2 — Vessel Assessment & Testing
Your vessel is an important part of how your finished candle performs.
You supply your chosen candle vessel for assessment before production begins. We’ll review its dimensions and suitability for candle production, then determine the appropriate wick and production specifications for your selected scent.
Where required, we’ll conduct burn testing to assess wick performance, wax pool development and the overall performance of the candle before approving the combination for production.
Because each vessel, scent and candle configuration can perform differently, testing allows us to establish the correct setup for your custom candle range before moving into full production.
Please note: Candle vessels must be suitable for candle use and supplied in the quantities required for testing and production. Byron Bay Candles does not source vessels as part of our private label service.

Include the vessel dimensions, capacity, and material information with your enquiry. We’ll let you know what samples are required for assessment and testing.
Step 3 — Finalise Your Candle Specification
Once your scent and vessel have been approved, we’ll bring the individual elements together to establish the final specification for your custom candle.
Your candle will be produced using our 100% pure soy wax and quality cotton wicks, with the wick, wax fill, scent level and production requirements determined specifically for your chosen vessel and aroma.
We exclusively use 100% pure soy wax across our candle production. It is plant-based and vegan, and reflects the natural approach that has been central to Byron Bay Candles since its conception.
Once these specifications are confirmed, we can provide your final production pricing and move your approved candle into the production schedule.
Your final quote
Final pricing is confirmed at this stage because we now know your selected scent, oil cost and usage level, vessel specifications, wick requirements, production quantity and finishing requirements.

Step 4 — Production, Finishing & Dispatch
Once your candle specification and final quote are approved, your collection is scheduled for production at our Byron Bay factory location.
We manage the manufacturing process from wax preparation and pouring through to curing, finishing and quality checking, following the specifications established during development.
Then we apply your supplied labels, fit supplied lids and pack each candle into your supplied individual boxes or packaging.
Your completed collection is packed into shipping cartons and prepared for dispatch or collection from Byron Bay.
